BIO: Working at The Signal is my second career. My first was as sales rep and then management executive at a large metropolitan newspaper. However, I've always worked at newspapers, starting with the tiny Othello Outlook where I once ran a circulation contest, was the summer relief typesetter and typed up an entire FCC radio station renewal application,on a typewriter in sextuplicate.
I was born in Seattle, but moved to the SCV in 1978.
I started at The Signal as the education reporter, then became Lifestyle editor, followed by features and Escape editor. I am currently manager and editor of Santa Clarita Valley Living Magazine, All About Kids and SCV Business Journal.
