When you were out looking for a job, what was it, that you did to get one? I would like to hear from those who have recently secured a job on line. We would like to know what differentiated you from those you were competing with? For many the loss of a job is a loss of identity, a loss of confidence, a loss of security. For others it’s a re-birth, an opportunity to try something new, a new beginning. I guess the successful job search begins with which attitude you are going to start with? That can make all the difference in the world!
For some the search begins on the internet filling out an application here and submitting a resume there on the numerous dotcom sites we see advertised on line and television. The one or two applications become ten or twenty, the two or twenty grow to one hundred to two hundred and your spouse may ask you if your having an internet affair? Or spending time on sites you shouldn’t be on? Great that’s all you need on top of being unemployed being accused of playing computer games all day! Oh did I mention that for some all of those applications/resumes got no response back, zippo, nada, not even a confirmation they got it. Most of the listing have no number to follow-up, no person to contact, just an e-mail to contact human resources. It would be great to talk to a human in human resources! For many it’s more like “inhumane forces where your paperwork gets sucked into a worm hole never to be found again? I suppose a job seeker must face the fact that they were not even worth the second or two to confirm receipt or to state thanks, but no thanks, you don’t fit the criteria, NEXT! They can deal with that it’s the unknown that frustrates most job seekers. Then there are the fake job placements that job seekers have to sort through which adds insult to injury. Some get a return back "You would be great for this job however you lack some of the necessary education in this field that we can provide you with to secure that six figure job! Then there are those who with good intentions who ask did they call you back? you need to follow up! With who info@HRunlimitedresources.com? I guess there are just too many applicants to get back to? Too many humans, not enough resources?
What are your thoughts? Are you a job seeker experiencing this? If you are in Human resources shed some light for those seeking jobs on line. Have some suggestions hints, insights for those seeking jobs.
