Mr.
Allow me to introduce myself. I'm a teacher employed by the Los Angeles Unified School District.
I often say to my students, "Thank Heaven for Little Girls," for one of you might grow up to be president of the United States. To help bring that about, I went to New Hampshire, Nevada, Texas, North Carolina, Oregon, and South Dakota for Hillary. I was in Rapid City, South Dakota, when I heard the tragic news of Senator Obama's nomination. However, the Obama campaign was about hope and one is allowed to hope that Hillary might still become our president, just like Lyndon Johnson became our president.
Now, I shall return to the classroom and say, "Thank Heaven for Little Girls," for one of you might grow up to be vice president of the United States. Like Richard Nixon, who incidentally, served only two years in the United States Senate before becoming vice president and later became president, the hope lives on.
It is like the old rabbi in "Ben-Hur." Seeing Juda Ben-Hur after he was presumed dead, the rabbi exclaimed,"we shall laugh again!" Yes, the house of America will laugh again and there is happiness for every single women in our country.
As a teacher, I'm aware of the psychological pain of my students. When there is no women on any national party ticket for twenty-eight years, every little girl suffers.
This is not an endorsement of the McCain-Palin ticket. I only endorse Democrats. I will work hard to elect Democrats with experience and maturity like Hannah Beth Jackson for the California State Senate. I will exercise my constitutional right to a secret ballot and vote for the presidential candidate, who will stop illegal immigration, secure our borders, promote national security, and protect us from terrorism. May the best presidential candidate win.
However, allow me to laugh again. Allow me to be happy again. Allow me to have joy again. Allow me to have hope again and I hope that in the future, maybe in 2016, it will be Hillary versus Palin. Now that is change that we can believe in.
