So, Michael Antonovich is running yet again for his County Supervisor seat, and he is opposed by Stephen Mark Hinze, a 30-year-old warehouse worker from Burbank -- and running under the ticket of Party for Socialism and Liberation. For more info about the election, read one of my recent articles on the issue: http://newmedia.the-signal.com/news/article/282/ According to recent campaign literature, the party "is a newly formed working class party of leaders and activists from many different struggles, founded to promote the movement for revolutionary change." Here is there Website: http://www.pslweb.org/site/PageServer You can find out more about their specific policies on that site. There are also a variety of odd-ball parties seeking a role in this year's election, such as: -- The American Eagle Party -- Equal Justice Party -- God, Truth and Love Party (GTL) -- New World Party -- No More Black Holocaust and Reparations for Origians Now Party -- Reform Party -- United Conscious American-Africans for Peace, Success and Fairness Party -- United Conscious Builders of All Americans Equal Dream Party In 2010, the following parties are attempting to qualify: -- Anarchy and Poverty Party -- Neuroscience Party What do you make of all this? Please share your thoughts.

Third parties are organized to advance a single-issue. For example, Democratic President Andrew Jackson was a Mason. The National Republicans nominated Senator Henry Clay another Mason. The Anti-Masons believed that the root of all evil were the Masons and organized the Anti-Masonic Party against them. The state of Vermont voted with them; the rest of the states did not share their fear of the Masons and the party did not survive the 1832 defeat.

I do not like Michael Antonovich. He is a conservativer Republican. I voted for Lynn Plambeck and every opponent that opposed Antonovich. I do not believe that he is interested in the issues important to the Santa Clarita Valley and I want to vote for a qualified candidate to replace him.

That being said, Stephen Mark Hinze is not that candidate. For one, he supports the gangs of the San Fernando Valley. Second, the only liberation that we need is from those gangs that terrorize the residents of San Fernando, Sylmar, Pacoima, and come up here to tag our beautiful city.
